Occasionally Occasions Llama Blog Hop!

I love hopping with the llamas!   For one thing, it forced me to clean up the post-Christmas disaster that was my craft cave to find space to make the projects for the hop.   More importantly, though, I'm excited to see what everyone else has made.

My first card features the Packed for Birthday stamp from the Occasions Mini.  I stamped the image in Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Real Red, then used the 3/4", 1" & 1 1/4" circle punches to select parts of the images.  After I arranged them on my Real Red card (dots courtesy of my Big Shot and a Texturz plate), I decided they needed more oomph, so I punched more circles of coordinating cardstock and popped up the focal image of the pinata with dimensionals.   Sentiment from Petite Pairs stamped in Real Red on Large Oval punch and backed with Scalloped Oval punch of textured Island Indigo cardstock.

This is an insert for my 1x1 Simply Adorned charm.    Using the Heart to Heart Punch on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I made this little heart and heat embossed the antique key image from Elementary Elegance.   You're sure to be seeing more projects made with this great set only available during Sale-a-bration starting January 24th.   The background is Pretty in Pink cardstock and Victoria Crochet trim.

My final card showcases the versatility of the Everyday Elegance Simply Sent kit.    In addition to the coordinating sentiments, they are a great base for seasonal cards as well.   I used the Short and Sweet stamp set, retired taffeta ribbon, a Bright Brad, and Heart to Heart punched shapes all in the coordinating colors of Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.   I can't decide whether I like it better with or without the Dazzling Details.   What do you think?

Everyone who leaves a comment on this page before 5am EST on Monday Jan 9th will be entered into a drawing to receive one of these completed cards!

Linda, your Packed for Birthday card is just so clever it makes me wish I could run right over to my craft table and recreate it! I am going to make a new Simply Adorned charm with lace in it :)

Excellent use of the Packed stamp! It would be an excellent workshop card! I like both the Valentine's cards but think I'll vote for the non-(be)dazzled. Good work, Linda. :-)

Gorgeous - as always. I love the way you used the Packed stamp, and now I want to go make a bunch of charm inserts! I vote for non-Dazzled, too. (It probably looks totally awesome in person, but in the photo, the red really pops out in the first card.)

Your blog hop cards are really terrific. I especially love the Packed for Birthday card......it's a design I really like. And the Simply Sent kit card makes me want to order this! Thanks for sharing.

I love the randomness of your Packed For card. The fact that the image is not centered in the circle is great and would drive some of my ladies nuts, but I love it. I always love your charms, I need to get busy and make some more. The Simply Sent card is lovely. I can't decide which one I like best.

Linda what a GREAT way to the 'packed' sets. How clever! Your charm is 'charming'... so sweet and as for the last one, I think they both look great, but I like BLING! So I vote for 'dazzling'! Hugs

Love how you used the Packed for Birthday! Since winning the four sets I have been trying to envision how to use them. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great use of the packed stamp and I also vote for the first heart card. Although in person I'll bet the cherry cobbler dazzling details will make my heart throb. :)

I love the card..I think on this one, my preference is without the bling..I usually always want bling!

Thanks,
Lori

It figures! I don't usually make glittery cards, so when I try, people like the other one better :)
